Volunteering on Campus

Step 1: First get clearance by the San Juan Unified School District to be a volunteer. This will allow for volunteering at any District school.

Ø  Go to www.sanjuan.edu

Ø  Click on the Community tab:

Ø  Click on the “Volunteer” tile

Ø  Follow the direction on the “Volunteer” page, including completing the on-line form and scheduling a finger-printing appointment at the District’s Human Resources Department

Step 2: Once you have District approval to volunteer at schools, complete the form to volunteer at San Juan Adult Education by clicking on this link à SJAE Student Volunteer Form 25-26

Step 3: After you have received “approval” notification from the District, contact San Juan Adult Education at adult.education@sanjuan.edu and let us know you wish to be contacted about volunteering at our school. A staff member will respond to you as soon as possible.

SJAE Students Volunteering Off-Campus with Another Organization

San Juan Adult Ed students who have arranged to be a volunteer at other schools or community organizations often need to record their hours. As a service to these students, SJAE has created a form they can download and print as often as needed to track their hours. To access this form, students should click on the link: Student Volunteer Hours Record (for non-SJAE hours)

Please NOTE: This form is not used to track volunteering in San Juan Adult Ed. Students who volunteer in SJAE classes will have their attendance reported by the teacher.
