IA Prep Class Registration
The purpose of this class is to assist students in preparing for the SJUSD Instructional Assistant test. The test is comprised of three parts as follows:
- Assisting Instruction
- English/Grammar/Reading Comprehension
- Mathematics (focus on basic skills and pre-algebra concepts)
Students must pass each part of the test with at least a 70% score to meet the overall testing requirement. Once a student passes a part, they do not need to repeat that part again. A student does not have to pass all three parts at the same time.
Students will use a variety of materials, resources (including online programs) and technology in the classroom. Students will work independently, as well as collectively, by being part of whole-class instructional lessons and related activities, assignments, and skill-building tasks. Attendance matters - students not actively working and/or participating will be dropped.
