ESL (English as a Second Language and Citizenship)

Class Description
The ESL (English as a Second Language) class is designed to help students develop their English language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Instruction focuses on building vocabulary, improving grammar, enhancing communication skills, and increasing confidence in using English in academic, social, and everyday situations. Lessons are tailored to meet the diverse needs and proficiency levels of English learners through engaging activities, collaborative learning, and individualized support. The goal of the program is to help students achieve English language proficiency while successfully accessing grade-level curriculum and participating fully in the school community. Citizenship classes are designed to help students gain the knowledge and confidence needed to successfully pass the U.S. citizenship exam and interview.
